Hi, I'm Melodie.

I'm the founder and creator of River + Birch Custom Cookies. I'm a southern girl married to my college sweetheart and I'm a stay-at-home mom to four wild and wonderful boys. I hold a Master of Physician Assistant degree (useful when you're a mom to four boys!) and a self-taught degree in baking and cookie decorating. I've always had an interest in the arts, but it has only been in the last few years that I began combining that with my love of baking.

The name River + Birch holds special meaning for me. We live on Riverbirch Lane, in a house that has welcomed a newly married couple to their first home, the birth of four precious boys, and the creation of this business. It will always be a reminder of the excitement of new beginnings.
